And on that day

I hope

that your heart will know that these words are true.

Without a doubt.

You are perfect.

I pray

that we have lived so that

despite life’s inevitable ups and downs

and the lines this mother has had to hold firm

that my passion

for you

my love

for you

has never been lost

on you.

I hope that you never doubt

that This Tiger

is always at your side.

I cannot protect you from every hurt.

But I hope I can help you learn to transcend that hurt

and fly again.

Because my children, each of you is meant to soar.

You are perfect.

I could never ask for more.
